Sustainability Executive (APAC)

The Sustainability Executive will support the regional sustainability function by enabling high-quality sustainability research, data management, client delivery, and internal sustainability initiatives.

This role works closely with internal stakeholders—including product and technology teams—and external clients to support sustainability reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives across multiple sectors.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the regional sustainability team in responding to external client sustainability-related requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

  • Conduct research on sustainability topics, frameworks, regulations, and best practices to support both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure sustainability data collected from clients and internal sources is processed, validated, and maintained with a high standard of data quality and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to define, develop, and enhance software tools and features required for client sustainability reporting.

  • Communicate product development progress and expected delivery timelines clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Support the implementation of the company’s internal sustainability strategies, initiatives, and reporting requirements.

  • Stay up to date with the latest sustainability standards, frameworks, and disclosures (e.g. ESG reporting, climate-related frameworks, and regulatory developments) and translate insights into practical guidance.

  • Contribute to sustainability projects across multiple client sectors, ensuring deliverables are completed within scope, budget, and agreed timelines.

  • Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports to support client engagements and internal decision-making.

  • Travel as required to support client meetings, workshops, or project delivery.

 

Requirements:

  • A passion in sustainability and willingness to learn.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Studies can be a combination of environment, carbon, sustainability, engineering/science, and/or economics/finance.

  • Commitment to excellence in quality of work and client satisfaction.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Effective oral and written communication in English.

  • Problem solver and creative thinker.

  • Excellent PC literacy, especially in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

  • Be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative, as well as operate effectively as part of a team.

  • Certification in GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG accounting or related fields will be an advantage.

  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, training will be provided.

  • Successful candidate will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
