Finance Manager (APAC)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic business growth. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with a proactive business mindset and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. 

Key Responsibilities

 

Financial Management & Reporting

• Full-spectrum of accounting functions, including GL, AP/AR, month-end and year-end closing.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

• Ensure timely payment processing for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

Audit & Compliance

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.

• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to financial procedures.

 

Business & Strategic Support

• Partner with senior management to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

• Conduct financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Provide commercial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

• Support cost management and financial risk assessment.

 

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor finance team members.

• Review work outputs to ensure high accuracy and quality.

• Develop team capabilities and drive continuous improvement.

Successful candidate will be working in Singapore, reporting to the Head of Finance & Administration.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) is beneficial.

• 4-5 years of relevant work experience.

• Proven experience in accounting and/or audit is beneficial.

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Commercially minded with the ability to support business growth.

• Prior experience managing or supervising a team is beneficial.

• Maritime industry knowledge or experience is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
