Sustainability & Solutions Specialist

Metizoft is a global provider of software and services that support sustainability reporting and more sustainable operations in the maritime industry. Our ESG reporting platform is specifically designed to meet the needs of shipowners, shipyards and suppliers.

As our customer base continues to grow, we are also expanding and developing our software and services. We are therefore looking for a Sustainability & Solutions Specialist to play a key role at the intersection of sustainability, technology and customer engagement.

You will join Metizoft's sustainability team and work closely with customers, our software development team and our commercial team. You will help shape the development of our solutions based on customer needs, provide specialist sustainability advice and ensure customers get the most out of our ESG platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers, supporting them with sustainability reporting, advisory services and effective use of our solutions.

• Act as a link between customers, the sustainability team and software developers, providing insights into user needs, functionality and opportunities to improve the ESG platform.

• Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of our software, with a particular focus on usability, workflows and customer value.

• Deliver and support sustainability-related projects, including materiality assessments, gap analyses and reporting in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.

• Guide customers in using our ESG platform and help them streamline and automate their reporting processes.

• Support the commercial team with sustainability expertise in customer meetings, presentations and the development of new business opportunities.

• Identify customer needs and contribute to the development of new and existing services and solutions.
  
  

Qualifications and personal qualities

We are looking for someone who has:

• A master's degree in sustainability, ESG, technology or another relevant field, ideally with further specialisation in sustainability.

• At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in consultancy, customer relationship management, sustainability or a related field.

• A solid understanding of sustainability and ESG, including familiarity with reporting standards and regulations such as GRI, ESRS, VSME and the Norwegian Transparency Act.

• Experience working with digital solutions and a good understanding of software functionality and how different systems work together.

• Ideally, experience in commercial activities, sales, business development, account management or consultancy.

• The ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical improvements and solutions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.

• A structured, independent and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Good written and spoken communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
