Metizoft acquires Powersave
We're now bringing ownership, product, competence and market efforts for Powersave together in Metizoft AS.
The acquisition of Powersave is a strategic investment in a solution that gives shipowners a solid factual basis for decisions related to energy use, fuel costs, emissions and future fee levels across the fleet. Powersave will now become a fully integrated part of Metizoft’s product portfolio.

Powersave gives Metizoft a strategic boost from analysis to action
Powersave has in a short time attracted considerable interest both in Norway and internationally. The solution combines digital modelling of the vessel, Powersave’s in house engineering expertise and the shipowner’s own operational data, and gives a clear picture of how the fleet is actually performing. The solution covers both newbuildings and existing tonnage. It provides immediate insight into which technical and operational measures have the greatest effect and makes it possible to follow up the results over time.
“We are now bringing ownership, product, competence and market efforts for Powersave together in Metizoft AS. Powersave fills a gap in the market and gives shipowners and yards better conditions for using their own data actively when they shape strategy, prioritise measures and document results on energy and emissions. By integrating Powersave more closely into the Metizoft portfolio we strengthen our total solution for maritime sustainability and compliance even further”
Gry Cecilie Sydhagen, CEO of Metizoft.

Further development and growth
All employees who currently work with Powersave in Ulsteinvik will continue as part of Metizoft. For customers this means that both the solution and the specialist environment are carried forward together with the people who know the product best.
For more than 20 years Metizoft has developed technology and solutions within areas such as sustainability reporting, inventory of hazardous materials on ships (IHM) and chemical management. With Powersave, the portfolio is expanded with a tool that gives customers a stronger, data driven basis for their ongoing sustainability work.
For former co owner Susteni AS, the sale marks a natural shift.
“We are very pleased that Metizoft is now taking over Powersave in full. This is a good example of technology that we have developed in collaboration with Metizoft and which now gains optimal conditions for growth with a solid industrial owner. The sale frees up resources that we can use to bring new innovations in our portfolio forward. It is a strategic move that strengthens both our business model and the company’s long term development”
Arild Hatløy, CEO of Susteni AS.
